Overview
Hiring teams spend hours every week reading CVs, writing job-specific interview questions, and coordinating early-stage interview calls. Open CV Engine set out to compress that work into a focused screening workflow: paste a job description, upload a stack of CVs, and get back ranked candidates with skill, experience, and culture-fit signals, plus AI-generated interview questions tailored to each role.
We built the platform end-to-end. Recruiters sign in with Google, invite their team, and work inside a tenant-scoped workspace where job postings, candidate evaluations, and interview recordings stay isolated. The AI evaluation pipeline ingests CVs and job descriptions, produces structured scoring, and surfaces the signals that matter for the role. For async interviews, candidates receive a link, answer AI-generated questions on their own time, and the hiring team reviews the responses together with shared notes.
Under the hood, the platform runs on Feather (our Python web framework) with Postgres for data, background jobs for AI evaluation, and cloud storage for CV and video artifacts. The result is a hiring workflow that fits in a single tab and replaces a small stack of disconnected tools.
