Things I've built with AI.

Hi, I'm Roland. These are my personal projects. I build them for fun, but they're all real, working products, from a hosting platform to a Python web framework.

Projects I've shipped

  • Open CV Engine
  • Burner
  • Feather
  • Chirp
  • Appentic
  • Retrograde Gamez
  • Sahm

Recent projects

The latest things I've been working on. They all started as side projects and ended up as proper products.

Sahm

Project

A voice companion that remembers you

Sahm is a voice companion that lives on a small ESP32 device. It keeps its own memory of you and comes with a web app for the people it lives with.

Retrograde Gamez

Project

A retro arcade in the browser

Retrograde Gamez is a small arcade site with two games you can play in a browser: a 1979-style Asteroids and a 3D kart racer.

Appentic

Project

Push-to-deploy hosting on dedicated machines

Appentic is a hosting platform that deploys apps and databases from GitHub onto a dedicated machine for every project.

What I build - The kind of stuff I like building.

Mostly AI features, SaaS apps and developer tools, with the odd telephony project thrown in.

  • AI-integrated products. Putting language models to work inside real products: scoring candidates, sorting content, writing interview questions. Calling the API is the easy bit. Getting results good enough to rely on is the interesting part.
  • Multi-tenant SaaS platforms. Full SaaS apps with the unglamorous parts done properly: sign-in, teams, billing, admin pages and usage tracking.
  • Cloud infrastructure & developer tools. Tools for other developers, like a hosting platform you deploy to with a git push, and a Python framework that handles the boring setup for you.
  • Real-time & telephony products. Phone calls, texts and audio. So far that's a second-number service and a social network where every post is a voice clip.
